What does balance in life mean to you?

Being in balance is in the top-5 of things that are important to me. It's stability on the journey one is on in life. I feel myself to be in balance when I can help others.

Additionally, I am only in balance when I know that those close to me, especially my daughters, are doing well. It's also important to me that the business - and all employees - are in balance and on the right track, as it's my passion project. And then, taking care of myself and spending time on and for myself also contributes to giving me balance in life.

What does balance in the world mean to you?

For me, balance in the world means treating each other properly. That's why compassion is so important – showing care for others, both those we are close to and those we meet along the way. In doing so, you help to create balance for yourself and those around you.

A world in balance is, of course, also a world without war, poverty, famine, and the like, and it's terrible and heartbreaking that so many people are affected by these disasters. One feels very small in all of this, but if we all just do a little bit to help another person or a family, then there must be a positive shift in the right direction.

Ever since my girls were little, I have reminded both them and myself many, many times how lucky we are to be born in Denmark. It's a lottery ticket that obligates us, and something we should remember when we complain about small, insignificant things.
